At Stonewall, we need to work together with others to strive for LGBTQ+ equality – we can’t do it alone.
We work with, or provide services and training to, many organisations and companies, to support LGBTQ+ people and strive to achieve our north star of LGBTQ+ equality.
As a charity, we rely on a range of funding streams to achieve that north star including donations, programmatic grants, and commercial contracts.
We provide training and services to improve LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion for hundreds of employers benefiting hundreds of thousands of their LGBTQ+ staff across a wide range of sectors and locations.
Our training and service provision can also help our mission reach a wider audience; support more LGBTQ+ people around the world and encourage a greater number of organisations and individuals to become allies and support the LGBTQ+ community.
Like many other organisations, Stonewall assesses any potential working relationship using a robust governance framework to ensure it is aligned with our mission.
Our framework considers:
- the impact of an organisations’ activities on LGBTQ+ people
- the impact on LGBTQ+ employees in that organisation receiving our services
- our charitable purposes
- our legal obligations as a charity.
Using this framework ensures LGBTQ+ people are always at the centre of our decision making.
We regularly review our working relationships and cease any affiliation where the framework is not met. We have acted this way in the past.
