At Stonewall, we believe all attendees should be able to fully participate in our events and feel comfortable doing so.

We commit to ensuring that as far as possible we work with you to accommodate any adjustments that you require. We take feedback on access issues seriously and always improve and develop after every event.

If you have any access needs, please email empowerment@stonewall.org.uk prior to the event and we’ll be able to discuss how we can support you.

Each workshop will feature a breakout session, where you’ll be put into smaller groups to have a discussion and work on an activity with other delegates. Breakout activities are optional, please message our Tech Support for the workshop if you would like to opt out.

There are regular breaks throughout the sessions – a programme with timings of these will be provided prior to the events

Services

We provide the following services at our open digital workshops:

  • Closed captions
  • Dyslexia friendly fonts on slides and handouts
  • BSL Interpreters (upon request)

If you require further adjustments, please do not hesitate to get in contact and we’ll try our best to accommodate these.

Staff support

All our digital workshops will have a Tech and Wellbeing Support. If you have any tech issues or wellbeing concerns during the session, you can talk directly to them using the Zoom chat feature.

Further information about this individual will be communicated to you at the start of the workshop.

Safeguarding

Our events provide a safe and respectful place for people to share ideas and experiences. Attendees at our events expect to feel welcome and included and everyone plays a part in creating this environment. We ask all attendees to avoid language or behaviours that might make others feel uncomfortable, offended, or excluded. This includes intentional mis-gendering, micro-aggressions, racism and ableist or mental health exclusionary language.

If you experience or witness something that makes you feel uncomfortable, please speak to our Tech and Wellbeing support using the Zoom chat function.
