Rainbow Cymru Report (2023)

Our Rainbow Cymru report paints a picture of the social acceptance of lesbian, gay, bi and trans people in Welsh society – as well as the size of the population who identify as a lesbian, gay, bi, or trans.  

The latest groundbreaking report uses data from the 2021 England and Wales Census, Ipsos and Opinium to shine light on a Wales that accepts and embraces its LGBTQ+ community – a true Rainbow nation. 

LGBTQ+ people, our lives and experiences are now more visible than they have ever been - in every workplace and community, and in all aspects of life, in Wales.
